Week 26: The dreaded weekly email

Eeeekk. I am so sorry for the TERRIBLE grammar and spelling...

Things I love:
  1. I discovered a new vegtable. It´s like a mix between a cucumber and celery but it’s fuzzy on the inside. I think it’s called achocha. I now eat it almost EVERYDAY. Along with my ice cream sandwich…
  2. OH MY GOSH. We were introducing ourselves to a new investigator and my compi kept messing up the ladies name. She said her name was Mary and my compi said, ¨Mucho gusto Patricia¨ (Nice to meet you Patricia). We both just looked at her and then Mary said, ¨My name is Mary¨. Then about a minute later my comp asked, ¨Sooo Patricia, what´s your last name.¨ I couldn`t hold in my laughter. Oh my goodness. AND THEN, to change the subject, my compi asked what her daughters name was…. Mary just looked at her and said, ¨my son?¨. Yup, then I for real lost it and could not stop laughing.
  3. We’ve been trying to meet more people in the street instead of knocking doors. So we saw a group of people playing basketball in the park. I ran up and told them to pass the ball to me. They were so nice. We ended up playing basketball with them and giving them a few pass-a-long cards. WOOOP for not knocking doors.

Things I´m learning to love:
  1.  There are two classes of chocolate milk. The super rich, creamy almost half and half good stuff. And then there’s the other kind which I would never drink… When I got here I thought the chocolate milk was so gross. It was the other kind. It tasted like a fake soy milk with fake chocolate…. YEAH and now I buy it almost everyday and I LOVE IT. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME?!
  2. We met this guy on the street who said he wanted to learn about the Mormon faith BUT he refused to believe what we said and he would not take our pamphlet. He told us to write some names down and he would go do his own research on the internet. GAH. I told him if he wanted to know what Mormons really believed he could ask us because WE ARE MORMON. He then told me that Wikipedia was a better source of information… MER.
  3. I BROKE THE KEY TO THE CHAPEL. The bishop doesn’t like to lend his keys but he asked me to play the piano for the ward conference so I needed the keys to be able to practice… When I I went to pull the key out of the door I was unlocking only half of the key came out!! And the other half was stuck in the door AHHHHHHH. Mmhmm now we’ll for sure never get the keys to the chapel.
Playing basketball with some random kiddos.
The ghetto bridge over the black water that smells like poo.
Found a random parade going on for some virgin. So of course i had to take a picture with one of the kiddos.
This is the ugliest photo of me BUT I found a random bird.
Can you find me?? Stuffing as many people as we can in a trufi.
