Week 67: The Dreaded Weekly Email

Image
Things I love: We have been working with a joven who is 20 years old. When we first met her she was a little hard to read. We thought she didn't like us. She was kinda short with us and it seemed like she straight up thought we were just weirdos! BUT while working with her for the last few weeks we have seen a complete change in her! She has completely opened up to us. She looks forward to seeing us. She looks forward to learnng more about her Savior Jesus Christ. She jokes with us. She is now always smiling. This week she shared with us that her family has because strengthened since she has started learning and applying the gospel of christ in her life. Gahhhh each visit she tells us how grateful she is for us. BUT I know that this is the effect the gospel has on people. I am so grateful for people who are ready to learn more about their savior. This week we had a ward activity.. a noche de talentos... and we had 21 investigators show up! WHAT THE!! What don't they ...

Things I love: GUYS. I know I shouldn't love this but it made me LAUGH so hard. My compi had an allergic reaction and she looked like HITCH. I mean. I was finally able to repay her a little for the whole week she took care of me and take care of her a little BUT oh man I sure laughed too.   This week we were in a hurry and running down the street when we said HI to a lady walking by. She was SO NICE and smiley we had to stop and talk to her. She told us to please come by her house the next day. It's pretty rare that people invite us over to there house BUT it seemed to happen almost everyday this week! BOLIVIANS ARE THE BEST.   We had intercambios 3 times this week. Which just means I swapped comps 3 times this week. Switching comps is always super fun because we get to learn from other people. IT WAS SO FUN. Going to different areas, meeting different people, eating with different people, having dogs follow us, finding roller blades. Guys the mission is SO GREAT. ...

Things I love: We went exploring in the mountains! We found waterfalls, a river, trees and a bridge! It was the best... Eventhough I may have been dying it was definitely worth it! OH OH we also saw a monkey! WHAT THE! Sorry. No pictures. BUT I saw one! This week I felt the spirit guiding me so many different times! One in particular is when I felt like we had to stop and pray before leaving the house. We always pray, and I think we had already prayed BUT I felt like we had to stop in the stairs and pray again. I offered the pray and prayed for comfort (consuelo). It was super strange. I didn't know why those words came to my mind but as the day went by I had some super hard news come my way. I recognized that night that God had guided me and helped me to recognize what I needed.    Thinks I'm learning to love: What we call the double dragon.... I'm sure you can alll guess what that means. When it is coming out both ends. WAHHHH. I got so sick this week. But...
