Week 67: The Dreaded Weekly Email

Things I love:
  1. We have been working with a joven who is 20 years old. When we first met her she was a little hard to read. We thought she didn't like us. She was kinda short with us and it seemed like she straight up thought we were just weirdos! BUT while working with her for the last few weeks we have seen a complete change in her! She has completely opened up to us. She looks forward to seeing us. She looks forward to learnng more about her Savior Jesus Christ. She jokes with us. She is now always smiling. This week she shared with us that her family has because strengthened since she has started learning and applying the gospel of christ in her life. Gahhhh each visit she tells us how grateful she is for us. BUT I know that this is the effect the gospel has on people. I am so grateful for people who are ready to learn more about their savior.
  2. This week we had a ward activity.. a noche de talentos... and we had 21 investigators show up! WHAT THE!! What don't they come to church?!? But it was crazy trying to talk with everyone and keep everyne entertained!
  3. This week I spent the day with a brand new missionary and I realized how used to Bolivia I am. She asked me about the crazy transportation, about the rocky streets, about the dogs, about the millions of kids walking in the streets, about the soda in bags, about the food, the language, the bathrooms - especially the weird showers.... All the things that I thought were SO WEIRD and now they just make it seem like home.
Things I am learning to love:
  1. Our noche de talentos was super great.... but we started an hour and 40 min late. WELCOME TO BOLIVIA. It should have been fine, except that all of our investigators were on time!!! AHHHH why does that always seem to happen?!
  2. Compi and I tried to do a magic show. Our ward judges us super hard if we don't participate in the ward talent show so we did our best... we were supposed to make water dissppear. We held up a bottle and then held up a blanket in front of us and we were just going to chug it super fast... but it was A LOT OF WATER and I started laughing and then water started coming out of my nose...  and then it just went down hilll. :)

LOVE YOU ALLLLL!

When the bathroom stalls are only meant for short people...
  Making cookies :)
Hna Groves FIRST DAY in the mission. I took her to meet some of our crazy cool investigtors :)

 mmhmmm. Cheesy. BUT HEY.
Don't know why my comps trust me to dye their hair.
Haha. We tried to do a magic show in our talent show night. We made our legs disappear, made water disappear, made a bunny appear and made ourselves disappear.
When we leave our house super early... stake conference.
The beautiful chica next to me is our investigator!
The sisters made us rollos de queso
 Changos from my group!

Check out the sky in the mornings. SO COOL. I love nature. Not a hippie.
