Week 38: The Dreaded Weekly Email

Super short this week!!! But enjoy the pics. AND if you want a letter for Christmas SEND ME YOUR ADDRESS and I will send you one. Love you all!!!

Things I love:
  1. We had an activity in the church and PEOPLE CAME! Normally we can expect maybe 20 people BUT this time we had 90 people come!!!! WAHOOO. We had a “Noche de Cine” – a movie night in the church. I spent ALLLLLL night cooking popcorn. I made over 30 batches of popcorn. WOOP. So you can add that to my new list of talents.
  2. FRESH FRUIT. Alright I may have already wrote about this BUT there is a fruit truck that drives around here and they have SO MUCH FRESH FRUIT. This morning we chased down the fruit truck (because for some reason it couldn’t see two white giants running down the road) and for less than THREE DOLLARS $3$ I got 25 bananas, a papaya, and 8 mangos. WHAT!? Sorry mom, I’m never coming home. I’m staying just for the fruit ;)

Things I’m learning to love:
  1. OH MY GOSH. The animal drama in the home of my pensionista CONTINUES. Most recently the youngest boy was playing in the fish tank and accidentally killed the BIGGEST COOLEST FISH. One down, 7 to go. ALSO. In the last two weeks they adopted two puppies and are now down to ZERO puppies. The animal drama. EEEEEKKKK. I still get a heart attack every time I see the kiddos chucking the kittens across the room… BUT HEY they’re still alive! I’ve decided I’ll never be able to have little animals and little children at the same time because I’d probably end up murdering the children.
  2. Our shower decided not to have hot water this week. And I’ve never really been one for super cold showers SO I decided to boil some water and take a bucket shower. It worked out pretty well. I didn’t freeze and I felt decently clean.

We accidentally bought WAY TOO MUCH butter.

 HALLOWEEN
LOOK at that nice GREEN water :)
Made some cookie dough covered oreos... and then fried. YEAH. Fair food.
Just chilling on the roof. Cause it's much better than the deck.
OUR MOVIE NIGHT. This is AFTER everything finished and we were cleaning but LOOK people came. Woop woop.
I put a wig on and said hi to the baby.. and this was her reaction...

A lady from my ward made me this skirt as a GIFT! And it was POCKETS!!! She's the BOMB.
She's helping me be more Cholita :)
