Week 41: The Dreaded Weekly Email

Lots and lots of pictures for you… and pictures are worth 1,000 words… so it’s like you got the LONGEST e-mail ever.
Love you all!!

Things I love:
  1.  I love how comfortable people are here with their weight. We were in church and the teacher called her husband “gordo” – like fatty. She used it as some sort of cute nickname. WHAT?? Hahaha it made me laugh so hard because it was in front of the entire class!! Maybe this is one of the cultural things I’ll try to take home with me J
  2.  I love how kind everyone is. We had a family that wanted to celebrate thanksgiving with us! They told us they’d cook the main dish and we could bring sides. How great are they for knowing that it was an American holiday and wanting to celebrate with us!
  3. OUR TRIO IS BACK. Dude, being in a trio IS SO FUN. I don’t why people ever said it was hard. I love it. Woop woop.

Things I’m learning to love:
  1. CAUTION. Don’t read this if you get sick easily. We were just casually walking down the street this week and I look to my right and see THE BIGGEST PIG I have ever seen in my life. It was being slaughtered on the sidewalk. Nasty pig drippings and blood oozing all over the sidewalk. Eeek. I had to walk off the sidewalk to keep from getting blood on my shoes. Eeeek. Enjoy the picture.
  2. So we have moved up in the world. Not only did we get many whistles and comments BUT this week we also got Howels. WHAT?!?! Haha I could not stop laughing. Are they for real? My compi and I just kept walking.
Baby boiled eggs. BUT hey. They tasted good :)
MAKING PIZZA. This literally feels like 5 weeks ago... but it was this week. Such a weird week.
 BOLIVIA.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Compi made rolls. I made some made up peach cobbler thing. Mami made some chicken/ham/cheese thing and the elders made BOX mashed potatoes. DO THEY NOT KNOW WE LIVE IN BOLIVIA?!?! The land of papas!!.. but it all turned out good :)
 More Thanksgiving. BOLIVIAN STYLE.
We played some game... Who knows what is going on here.
 I look like a PILGRIM. It's cool.
 Saying goodbye to another missionary.
The only window in the ENTIRE house was in the bathroom. So of course I had to look through it.
haha just casually walking down the street.
Guess who's back, back again... THE TRIO IS BACK.
Can't take a normal picture.. but the view was so cool!!!
Loooook. I found my name. :)
Compi painted some more... and yeah. I didn't learn anything. SO if you need words painted on your walll. CALL my compi :)
 Turned out pretty cool, right?
 More of baby eggs...
hahaha this baby is on a LEASH. Pretty smart. I'll probably do this one day.
They alll think I'm crazy. I was just playing with a rubber band.
This ldy in our ward asked us to take a picture with her baby... SURE :)
WAITING FOREVER FOR A TRUFI. Merp. sitting on the side of a road.
Being dragged to the gas station... Of course when we are running SO LATE, we had to wait 45min for a trufi and then the trufi has to stop for gas :)
Monday activities... Wally. I'm just not very good at sports that take hand-eye coordination.
Cramming in a TAXI -  like always :)
