Week 33: The Dreaded Weekly Email

Things I love:
  1. Oh my goodness. We were chatting with an old Cholita one night this week. She was speaking with us in Spanish and then all of a sudden she started speaking Quetchua. WHAT. We told her we couldn’t speak Quetchua BUT we asked her if she could pray in Quetchua. She said yes so we all bowed our heads and waited for her to pray…. And waited.. and waited… and then she started poking my HEAD and laughing so hard. So of course I started laughing. Oh my. OW. She poked so hard but it was so funny…. She eventually prayed with us.
  2. I LOVE RUNNING INTO PEOPLE I KNOW. I always love being that awkward person that goes and says hi to people I hardly know. AND. Remember how I said we had to go to a wedding last week?? There was a family I knew from my other AREA! Woop woop, I was so happy! I also ran into a few other people from my old area during the week! I guess I’ve been in Bolivia for a long time J
  3. I FOUND A GOAT… well one of the families we were teaching had a baby goat! I almost stole it… but I thought the child might miss it.
  4. My pensionista has little children AND a cat (along with the bird).. and when I can’t finish my food I just share with all of the above!! Wooop. Every week I’m finding new ways to get rid of food.

Things I’m learning to love:
  1. Stale cereal. Haha we were teaching a family and they gave us a huge plate of stale cereal. MER. So nice of them.. but I couldn’t finish it. We poured it in my bag. I´d shared with the dogs later :)
  2. GETTING LOST. Like, all the time. Good thing my compi is good with directions because I definitely did not get that gift. But directions in Bolivia HARDLY qualify as directions. They always say things like, “a little more that way and then a little bit up…” YEAH. THAT’S REAL SPECIFIC. THANKS.
I'm starting to love the crazy dogs here... WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME.
     Sunsets here are INSANE.
MY GOAT.... I should have stolen it.
playing at the PARK. Cause I'm a child.
It's cool my comps are children too.
She thought I was SO CRAZY for brushing my teeth in the street. Merp. Imma do me :)
PIZZA in the Zone meeting... cause obvi thats the most important thing.
We had intercambios this week! Meaning I slept at another house with a different comp for a day.
I GOT PHOTOS IN THE MAIL. Thanks to everyone who sent Jamie some pictures. You're ALLL now in my scriptures for me to show everyone!
Looking for General Conference... don't worry, we found it.
     Conference BREAK.
MOM. My comps say thanks for the clothes...
It was SOOOO windy again. My dress kept flying up. WOOPS.
My comps told me I couldn't leave like this... MER.
THIS CHILD IS CRAZY. Her mom works across from one of the chapels and so she is ALWAYS in the church. They're not members... yet.
Exploring Cochabamba today... LOOK AT MY SHIRT. Thanks Mom and Jamie :)
