Week 54: The Dreaded Weekly Email

OH man. I feel way too loved. Thanks for all the support and love sent my way this week! I sure appreciate it all! Today is a little strange. We are on “lock down” in our house. Kinda. We’re just not allowed to leave our house today. Or   tomorrow . WAHHH. What am I supposed to do while locked in my house for two days?! It’s a holiday… I guess lots of people like to drink more than normal. So we are stuck in the house. We got a call yesterday! I’ll be leaving my area and opening a new area   on Wednesday . Sure gonna miss this area and the beautiful people here!  This week I was thinking about one of the greatest commandments - to love others. I was thinking about the example that Christ gave us. That even after his disciples denied him and betrayed him he STILL loved them. Why is it hard to love people?!?! I think about how Christ was ALWAYS serving others and helping others.. and that maybe through his service he was able to love them perfectly. He was able t...

Alright everyone. JUST IN CASE YOU FORGOT….   Next Monday   is my BIRTHDAY. I am turning 19 years old (maybe that’s a lie). But Monday really is my BIRTHDAY. So feel free to write me about your favorite memory with me. Or the first time we met. Or something crazy we did together. Or WHATEVER YOU WANT. But I would just love to hear from all of you.  :) Sending love and blessing to all of you! Thanks for all your support! Things I love: This week we had a conference about repentance this week. We talked about the need for repentance but also the reason we pass through trials in this life. One of my favorite quotes from Elder Holland (in a video) was that the road to salvation always passes through Gethsemane. He said that when life is hard remember that we are not the first ones to ask, “Ïs there no other way?”. The conference really helped me to take a step back and try to appreciate the hard times. There is a reason we pass through trials. There is a reason th...

Alright. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY ( tomorrow ). I hope you all eat LOTS of dulces for me. Chocolate and the sour tart candy things that they always have at valentines day. This week I will be completing a year in the mission! Can you all believe that? Cause I sure can’t! I have been out of the States for a full year (almost)… I still like to tell people I have mas o menos 6 meses in the mission.. BUT holy I actually have mas o menos 6 months left. Things I love: This week we had a baptism for two incredible people. I cannot believe the amount of faith they have! It all started when they wanted to visit their Tia. She said she didn’t have time because she was traveling and   Sunday   she said she would be at church.. they said it didn’t matter they would visit her at church. Miracle 1 – they actually showed up to church. And while they were at church they were given a Book of Mormon. This Book of Mormon was the start of alllll their troubles… Or the start of what change...

Sorry homies. I know it's a little short today. BUT THANKS FOR ALLL YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT!!! I sure love hearing from all of you! Things I love:   I love the quote that says, ¨there´s no comfort in the growth zone and no growth in the comfort zone¨. That quote sums up my week. There are lots of hard times on the mission BUT there is always something to learn. I love that I am truly learning to be a kinder and more patient person (I hope). I love that we are given experiences in our life to learn . We can choose to be better from the trials we have in our lives. ICE CREAM. Man. I just love ICE CREAM. I found my FAVORITE brownie ice cream this week. AND I was so happy. I love the faith of other people. I love hearing their stories. And I love learning from them. There is a young mom that got kicked out of her house for having a Book of Mormon. Her mom kicked her out and said she wasn't allowed to live in her house. Wasn't allowed to have any of her things. She w...
