Week 54: The Dreaded Weekly Email

OH man. I feel way too loved. Thanks for all the support and love sent my way this week! I sure appreciate it all!
Today is a little strange. We are on “lock down” in our house. Kinda. We’re just not allowed to leave our house today. Or tomorrow. WAHHH. What am I supposed to do while locked in my house for two days?! It’s a holiday… I guess lots of people like to drink more than normal. So we are stuck in the house.
We got a call yesterday! I’ll be leaving my area and opening a new area on Wednesday. Sure gonna miss this area and the beautiful people here!

This week I was thinking about one of the greatest commandments - to love others. I was thinking about the example that Christ gave us. That even after his disciples denied him and betrayed him he STILL loved them. Why is it hard to love people?!?! I think about how Christ was ALWAYS serving others and helping others.. and that maybe through his service he was able to love them perfectly. He was able to give sympathy and truly understand their hardships. He didn't judge them. Or think they were such slow learners. He just loved them.

It is possible to truly love those around us. It is possible to soften our hearts a little more each day and serve those around us. This week I was thinking about how I could always work a little harder to show love for those around me.

Things I love:
  1. Oh my goodness . We made pizza with a family the other day. And I made the mom make the dough after I showed her how so that she would remember… SO we had a ton of dough. And ended up with a TON of pizza. The little kiddos kept eating. They kept coming back and eating more and more! The next day the mom told me that the two little boys were up in the night throwing up because they had eaten WAY TOO MUCH! Haha poor little boys.. but atleast they liked pizza, right?
  2. My compi made me a cake for my birthday! WAHHH. She’s the best. She kept doing weird things. She bought a huge bag of lemons. She doesn’t like lemons. She bought a TON of cookies… and never ate them. She bought a plate. We have plates. She told me to go to bed ( so she could make the cake). She locked herself in the bathroom (to try to open the cans of sweet and condensed milk)… so many strange things and I didn’t pick up on anything. Then she ran into the room at midnight with a cake made!! WHAT THE! I’m so oblivious BUT SHE’S THE BEST!
  3. This week it poured. When we got to one of our visits we were SOAKED. We sat in their chairs.. and then when we got up to leave and there was a huge puddle under my comps chair. The lady we were visiting asked my comp if she had gone to the bathroom in her chair.. haha COMPI. J
  4. Alllll the people who make me feel so loved and appreciated! Here in Bolivia, in Utah, in Washington, in California, in Nebraska, in

Things I’m learning to love:
  1. OH. My. This week I just had to laugh at how many times people wanted nothing to do with us. People are so nice here, the majority of the people will never actually tell us they never want to see us again… but they will go out of their way to avoid us! This week we passed by for a lady that we had been visiting for quite some time. When we got to her house we heard her voice inside of the house. FINALLY she’s home we were thinking. Her little brother answered the door and told us that not only was she not home but she had moved and no longer lived there. WHAT?! I could hear her! Oh my. Who knew little children had such good poker faces! This happened to us twice this week!
  2. GAHHH. The water problems CONTINUE. One day this week I was about 30 seconds into my shower and BAM the water ran out. WHAT THE. NOOO. I was so dirty. And we didn’t get water back for about 3 more days. I hope you are reallllll grateful you’re able to shower! And wash your dishes. And flush the toilet.
  3. This week I tried to rob some cactus fruit and I just got PRICKED. WAHHH. Who knew they had little hairs that got stuck in your hand?! Welp. Now I know.
Love and blessings to all of you!

ANOTHER birthday celebration. WAHH. I am seriously so spoiled. This was a joint birthday celebration. Tio's birthday is the 20th so they celebrated both of our birthdays!

 Compi doesn't like crossing bridges.
