Week 34: The Dreaded Weekly Email

Things I love:
  1. Alright. I don’t love that my compi was sick… BUT. She was hilarious when she was sick this week. She told me she was craving candy. So I got her a bag of candy… and then when I gave it to her she just glared at me and asked why I had bought SO MUCH CANDY! … UHHHHH you’re welcome COMPI :) I wish I had written down everything thing she said. My stomach hurt at the end of the day from laughing at all her comments.
  2. OH MY GOODNESS. I love salteñas. We all already know that… BUT this week we had to go out of our area to drop someone off and I asked the taxi driver if there were any good salteñas close. He pulled a crazy U (is that how you spell that… who knows) and drove us to find some yummy salteñas! Woop woop. He ALSO didn’t charge us extra! But… then he started asking if we could date, have a bf, go out dancing… RED FLAG! NOPE.
  3. This week we were teaching a 12 year old and her sister who was 17. THEY WERE SO FUNNY. We asked the 12 year old why she liked going to church and she told us, “los chicos!” Uhhhhh what?!?! You’re 12 years old. AND then we asked her what we could pray for for her and she told us her chicos… Haha crazy 12 year old.

Things I’m learning to love:
  1. This week we were helping out another companionship. We were helping them get all their lugguage to their new house… So we were a little late to our district meeting (weekly meeting with other missionaries). AND it happened to be THE ONLY time President Hansen happened to be in our district meeting. WHAT THE. Why am I cursed to ONLY be late when President randomly pops in. Merrrr.
  2. BOTH times we took taxis this week the drivers tried to tell us we needed to find husbands in Bolivia. We needed to date. Mer mer mer. That’s what happens when there are TWO WHITE GIRLS together in Bolivia. We just try to change the subject. Or talk about why we WANT to be missionaries (aka nuns) for 18 months. :)
  3. This week there guys sitting on our roof. I think they were working on the roof… who knows. BUT they were just hanging. Drinking juice and eating crackers. And because we’re on the top floor it was AWK. That’s all. Supes awk.
