Week 63: The Dreaded Weekly Email

Things I love:
  1. Guava juice. You may wonder what I do with alll the guava I steal. I make juice. AND IT IS THE BEST!!!! Mom you better find some guava trees in Washington
  2. This week we saw a miracle!!!! Normally when we knock doors people have little or no interest... and every once in a long while we find some one who is willing to listen to us. BUT April 29, a very special day, EVERYONE opened their door. And everyone was interested and asked to come back. One lady in particular just needed us. She told us she had been super sick for a long time, had almost died... but knew there was a reason she was still alive. I was so grateful to have been able to see the hand of God working miracles throughout the day. Must have been a blessing from my mom and Rachel Hashim... seeing as it was their birthday! Thanks ;)

Things I am learning to love:
  1. BROWN WATER FROM THE SINk! Gahhhhh what is that?!?!?! This week when I turned on the sink the water that was coming out was BROWN! Yeah... pretty sure it's not safe to drink.
  2. Ohhhhh my! this week we were talking with a lady in her door (if they don't invite us into their house we always just stand in their door talking). This lady started talking to us and opening up. She told us that she had epilepsy and that she fainted about 6 times a week. We were asking her if she was getting better and she told us that she was slowing having fewer each month. I was looking down writing something and when I looked up she was fainting. AHHH Ihad to drop to the ground and catch her. We stayed with her until she became concious and then we yelled for anyone in her house. Her mom came out and talked with us. We were able to listen to all of the hardships they have been passing through. Having a sickness like that her in Bolivia is really hard because they don't understand it and people think that it's demons...It was sad to hear how little hope they had but I was so grateful to be able to talk with them! As we were leaving they asked me what had happened to my leg (I had scraped it when I was catching the lady) and I had to quickly make up some story. Haha It was a super crazy experience BUT I know that our message can help them!
