Week 28: The Dreaded Weekly Email

Things I love:
  1. I’ve been teaching an english class in the Chapel. This week there
were only 4 kiddos but it was so fun. We were learning how to say body
parts. So I drew a person on the white board and labeled everything in
Spanish and then in English. Listening to them try to pronounce
everything made me laugh harder than it should have. For example:
Eyes: A - yays. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. I’m terrible. But they all
laughat my pronunciation so it’s only fair, right?
  2. Compi has been trying to make me say things wrong. The other day I
wanted to buy some q-tips so I asked her what they were called. She
told me they were called something super strange. I didn’t believe her
so when I got to the tienda I just described what I needed. Later I
figured out she was trying to make me ask for condoms. COOOL. I can
play this game too. So now I’ve been teaching her all sorts of great
    conversational words in english ;)
  3. This week one of the girls we’ve been teaching needed help with her
homework. She needed to write a poem about her grandpa… She ended up
using three of the lines I came up with. Haha they were so terrible..
but she used them! I think one of them went something like, “El is
Dulce, mass que un Dulce.” As you can tell, my Spanish is REALLLY
    advancing… and rapidly.
Things I’m learning to love:
  1. Liquid poops. They made their way back and I had to pray I didn’t
go in my pants. We were in the middle of a lesson and BAM I knew I
needed that bathroom so bad. Luckily we weren’t too far from our house
    and I MADE IT. Woop.
  2. Bad breath. Remember how I talked about a lot of the children’s
teeth? Yeah, well a lot of them like to talk really close to my face
and MER the breath is really strong. I try not to be too obvious about
trying to move my nose away from their breath.
  3. I was late to church for the very first time and it just so
happened to be the very first time our MISSION president was visiting
our ward. WHY does it always happen like that?!?! Yeahhh, so that was
    cool.
  4. I want to hug everyone when I meet them. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO
    ME?!?!? I’m not a hugger. I don’t like people. UGH. I turning into a
    crazy!
I’ve learned that it takes about two months for me to receive
packages. SO if you feel like sending me a Halloween package FEEEL
FREE. It’s about a month for me to receive letters BUT I have only
received one page letters folded into thirds with my address written
on the outside and postcards.

Playing in more parks. It's sad when I barely fit in the slide.
El puente otra vez. Compi hate crossing with me because I like to make it shake. So she waits until I cross.
