Week 29: The Dreaded Weekly Email

This week I spent a good amount of time studying the story of Abinadi (hopefully it's the same spelling in english OR who knows - I probably spelled it wrong in both languages). He gave his life to preaching the gospel AND he never lived to see the difference he made. His words touched one heart and because that one heart was touched thousands of lives were changed! It made me think about how a lot of the time we can't see the good we're doing in the moment that we are doing it BUT we are making a difference! :)

Things I love:
  1. Alright. For all my Washington peeps. You’ll understand this. I’ve been stuck with mushy apples for the last 6 months BUT this week a random fruit truck passed me by and I decided to check out what he had… AND he had PINK LADY apples. I could have cried. I was so happy. WAHOO.
  2. This week we had devisiones again – I think you call them exchanges. Where I go with a member and my compi goes with a different member. I used to hate this because I felt like I couldn’t communicate with anyone but this week I realized I’ve lost my fear of talking with people! POR FIN! I was able to chat it up with the member and we were able to find lots of new people! Woop, woop. My Spanish is FAR from correct BUT people can understand what I’m trying to say…. :)
  3. WE MADE PIZZA THIS WEEK. They have these pizza joints here but I don’t know who taught them how to make pizza because it’s far from any pizza I’ve ever tasted. It’s goopy and soggy and… different. BUT this week for my pensionistas birthday we made PIZZA. I made homemade sauce and dough and IT WAS SO GOOD. Everyone liked it wayyyy more than the pizza here (because the pizza here isn’t exactly pizza) so we’re making PIZZA again this week. WAHOO.

Things I’m learning to love:
  1. This week we had to go to the “city” because we needed to go to the bank and there’s no bank in my area.  There were a ton of people in the street walking around and all of a sudden a huge gust of wind came and my dress flew up to my face. COOOL. The only day it’s windy just happens to be the only day I’m surrounded but a TON of people.
  2. We had no water AGAIN so I ended up showering with BABY WIPES. Eeek. Yeah, yeah I know. I’m disgusting.
  3. EEEEEEKKKK. I don’t know what happened this week but I got SO SICK. Remember that story I told last week about how I BARELY made it to the baƱo? Yeahhhh well this week I was not so lucky. It was coming out of BOTH ENDS. So I spent a good day in my bed. MY FIRST SICK DAY IN BOLIVIA. AND now I have an excuse to turn down SODA… atleast for the next couple days :)
MOM! I got your Package :) YOU DA BESSSSSS!
Hahaha. My compi could NOT climb up so she decided it was better to just walk in the ditch with all the nasty trash.
Compi Struggling! hahaha Yeah. couldn't help but LAUGH.

 THE PIZZA WE MADE!

We had an activity and 4 of our investigadores CAME! and NONE of them wanted to look at the camera. I was stilll sick this day. MER.

Grateful for children. I pawned my food off to them because I couldn't eat it. THANKS KIDDOS.
