Week 55: The Dreaded Weekly Email

Things I love:
  1. My new area! And my new compi! Seriousy. There are parts where I feel like I am in the jungle! It is so green here and it rains so much. This week we were just trying to get to know our area and find people.
  2. Alright. This is not something I love but my compi and I were laughing SO HARD... so it is something funny. My poor compi got sprayed in the eyes with foam and her eyes got SUPER red and swollen. So we had to go to the Dr. He ended up taping her eyes shut and told her she could not open them until the next day. WHAT. haha poor compi had to walk with her hands on my shoulders to leave the Drs. haha and had to put up with me laughing and giving her a play by play of what was happening.
  3. We have the SWEETEST little grandpa in our ward here. He is SO GREAT. We went and visited him and he made us banana juice. He is 85 years old and still active. He works at the temple and loved telling us allll about his family. Awww he is probably my new favorite person here.
  4. We got into a crazy water fight my last day in my last area. My pension came into where we were eating with a water gun and SPRAYED me in the FACE. MER. and then my comp grabbed a bucket and dumped it on our pensions husband. And then it just got crazy.
  5. The support we have in our new area. Our ward is so kind and helpful! Our new pension is so great! Her husband asked if we could share a scripture with them everyday... WHAT! I was so grateful that they wanted the spirit in their home and a little embarrassed that we hadnt offered to do so in the first place! I love my new area. I truly feel the love from the people here and their love for our savior!

Things I am learning to love:
  1. Some soccer team from Uruguay was visiting for a match. The whole team was standing outside of one of the stores we were in. On of the players came up to us yelling, "Elder, Elder!" They were SO CREEPY. They were talking to us and getting WAY TO CLOSE for comfort. One of them told me he loved my eyes AND WE WERE OUT OF THERE!
  2. Hahahaha this week I looked at compi while she was brushing her teeth and noticed she was brushing her teeth with my toothbrush! I could not stop laughing!
  3. HOLY. Our new house had SO MUCH TRASH. A lot of sisters have had this area as their last area and so they just left a TON of stuff in the apartment. Compi and I threw everything out and so we had TONS OF TRASH... We live on the third floor and when the trash truck came by this week my compi was in the shower.... So I had to make four trips running down the stairs to get all the trash out to the truck. And each time I had to run it to the truck, dump it in and then run back up to the house to grab more WAHHHH.
  4. The DRAIN. Ugh. SO GROSS. Our drain in the shower would not work. SO I had to find a hanger and I dug out a HUGE thing of hair. I think it has been years since it has been cleaned.
Washing clothes in my kitchen. MER. Back to washing my own clothes.
Saying goodbye to my old pension.
 Carnival.
 More Carnival.
Getting SOAKED but playing for carnival.
OH MY GOSH. I am pretty sure NO ONE HAS EVER CLEANED OUT THE DRAIN. Look what I found. GROSS.
Hahaha guys. My comp got sprayed in the eyes (remember how we couldnt leave our houses for 2 days) with foam. AND COULD NOT OPEN HER EYES. So this is how we went around for a day.
 Pobre cita mi compi.
Eating with the poor blind girl.
Making her take pictures with me.
 Wahhh Couldnt cross the river.
Exploring our new area. And gettng whistled at.
 This guy is CRAZY.
My area looks like the JUNLE. I love it.
Hiding my bag from the rain. And getting soaked.
We hiked up the mountain in the rain to pick them up for church.
Playing soccer!
