Week 58: The Dreaded Weekly Email
Things I love:
- This week I read a quote from President Holland. He says, “The best is yet to come.”. This week I was thinking a lot about enjoying every moment we are given. Looking back at my life and the experiences I have had I cant help but be so incredibly grateful. I know that there are hard times. BUT when I look back I just remember the good times. . . To think that my life has been this blessed and the best is still yet to come!
- We finally went up in the mountains in our area and EXPLORED! Our area is SO green and so pretty! We found a few hippies… but they didn’t rob us. So everything was great. One by one dogs started following us… until there were 7 with us! A cow licked my hand. It was a good day.
- This week we found a miracle woman. We were walking down a dirt road and she was walking up with her baby on her back. She was also carrying a bag. We asked her if she needed help. She told us no but we helped her anyways. As we walked with her to her house we slowly began to talk to her about our faith. She eventually told us that she had been praying for people like us. And she began to open up to us about all the difficult things she was going through in that moment. It is such a tender and humbling experience to realize that God trusts us enough to let us be answers to other peoples prayers.
Things I am learning to love:
- Some creepy hippy was walking passed us in the street and asked me IN ENGLISH if I wanted some weed. WHAT?! The hippies are crazy here.
- Someone in our building thinks its funny to cut our light AND they switched off our lights (and the hot water) again.
- We have a snake that lives in our building. EEK. A guy that keeps trying to talk to us. Hahaha He passed us two notes under our door giving us his whatsapp number.. good thing we don’t have whatsapp.
- Eeek the stomach problems continue. BUT atleast there was a members house close this time SO nothing terrible happened.
LOVE YOU ALLLLLLLLLL. Thanks for the love. Thanks for the emails. Thanks for the prayers. Everything will work out. Choose to stay positive! And forgive the grammar, spelling..
