Week 70: The Dreaded Weekly Email

Things I love:
  1. We met the sweestest family this week! And when I say sweetest I mean the most hilarious most sarcastic family! We asked a cholita if she knew where someone lived.. but she had never heard of the person we were looking for. We started talking with the lady. She and her family grow lettuce, flowers, blackberries, avocado and a ton of other plants to sell. The whole time we were talking with her she kept trying to kick us out... PUNK. She kept saying things like, "yeah yeah are you guys finished??" and we were only asking about her plants!! She finally told us we could talk religion for 5min. When started talking her daughter ran inside and pulled out a BOM! WHAT THE?! The whole time we were talking she kept telling us our 5min were almost up.. haha I was trying not to laugh the whole time! We then forced her to give us a tour of her garden and she ended up not trying to kick us out by the end of our visit. She taught us how to wash and wrap lettuce and even invite us to come back :)
  2. My new comps name is Hna. Pucha. Pucha means "good heavens" or "dangit" haha. So everytime she intoduces herself to people they always start laughing and then ask her again what her name is... my poor comp. But don't worry! I have been super mature and haven't laughed... too much.
  3. Miracle. I was thinking back to my first few months here when I dreaded having to talk with new people.. and now I LOVE talking with everyone. I love hearing about their lives, I love hearing about what they do. I love just getting to know people! Wahhh. Bolivia is the BEST.

Things I am learning to love:
  1. This week while praying with some of our investgators they started saying strange things and TAPPING OUR HEADS (mine and my companions). I had to work so hard to not start laughing. Oh man. Sometimes it's rough being reverent.
  2. OH MY GOSH! This week a lady starting telling us about gifts that she had.... She told us she could feel and talk with dead people. BUT THEN she started telling us that her strongest gift was her ability to communicate with DOGS! WHAT?! Hahaha oh my. The laughs may have spilled out.
  3. Haha this week we met a lady who was super anti mormon. We just listened to her and as we were leaving she told us that she was going to pray for our souls. Oh the things people tell us.
