Week 77: The Dreaded Weekly Email

Things I love:
  1. We learned how to make relleno de papas! Stuffed potatoes. We got up at 5am to help a lady in our ward make 250! So you can say I’m basically a pro now… Not. BUT! I’ll be making them when I get home, for sure.
  2. DIA DE BOLIVIA! I love seeing all the people here decorate their houses with flags and bolivian colors! They should leave it up all year round! They also have all sorts of parades for 6 de Agosto! It was so fun watching everyone!
  3. WAHHHH. There was a dance competition in our ward this week… and… no I didn’t win (because I’m not allowed to dance…) BUT EVEN BETTER our Inv. WON!!!! WOOOP. We were so excited for her. She’s the best!
  4. We sat and talked with a grandma this week and it just made me think about how grateful I am for my life. How grateful I am for the gospel and for the opportunities I have been given to live and enjoy life. We sat in the shade looking at the lemon and avocado trees and talked about her life. She is about 90years old and has an incredibly life. She’s passed through a lot of hard times… but I loved being able to hear her positivity. Life is to be enjoyed :)
Things I am learning to love:
  1. Hiding food in my bag. Hahaha it STILL HAPPENS. Some lady gave us the BIGGEST plate of soggy rice. When she left the kitchen for a minute to go to the bathroom you better believe I dumped the whole plate in my bag :) I’ve gotten real good at it… so good my compi asked for help ;)
  2. CRAZIES. GAHHHH. We have met so many crazies lately! The drunk guy I mentioned last week…. EEEK. Yeah. I mean you probably guessed but! HE IS CRAZY.
Kicking it with our ward for p-day
