Week 16 The Dreaded Weekly Email
Things I love:
- I finally got Smart and bought oil, kernals and salt. And now I make popcorn for myself all the time! Probably not a great thing I discovered but I am always craving popcorn… Dinner, breakfast ALLL the time!
- Typically I wash my clothes at 7 in the morning on Mondays. It is probably 55 degrees outside and we only have FREEZING water. So I am always freezing. But! I finally figured out that I could BOIL water and pour it in the sink. It only took me 3 months to figure that out. I am no longer freezing! Woop, woop!
- The people here are so kind! I am always amazed by how much they are willing to serve us! There is a man that drives a fruit truck around and every Thursday we buy a ton of fruit from him. He drove by us on Sunday and knew that we didn’t buy things on Sunday so he gave us some fruit!! How nice is he?! And then we were running late one night and had to walk the long way home because the other route was dangerous. As we were walking on the main road a man from our church pulled over and offered us a ride home for FREE (he works as a taxi driver). I have a million other ways people serve us… but that will do for now.
Things I am learning to love:
- Oh my gosh. This week we were teaching a lady and her 4 year old daughter. The daughter had a kitten and every time I looked at her she had a new way of torturing the cat. The first time she was dancing with the cat holding it by its NECK. The next time she was swinging it around by its two front paws. And the last time she was swinging it and then let go so it went flying and flipping through the air and smashed into the ground. I do not even like cats that much but I kept cringing every time I watched her. I had to keep reminding myself that the kitten has survived this long… It will probably live. Probably.
- COMPY brought up hugging again. She asked me why I do not like hugging her when I will great other people with a hug. MER MER MER. I should have seen this coming. I told her because we are with each other 24/7…. And we don’t need to hug allllll the time. I should probably learn to hug her
- I know you have all been missing my bathroom stories so I have two for you: I pee’d on myself while trying to pee outside this week. Real cool. Probably payback for laughing at my comp when the dog pee’d on her. And the second, when we were in a lesson a little girl was yelling at her mother to come wipe her and apparently the mom took to long because the little girl came waddling in with her pants at her ankles. As she did so she left a little present on the floor. Later during the lesson it started to smell so strongly of poo, I look over and the present was no longer on the floor. Who knows what happened to it…
